'Starting at 4 cents per word...'
Translation agencies often advertise this way, but they don't tell you that this rate is only applicable for post-editing an MT (machine translation) or correcting already (well) translated texts.
Below are my not-misleading rates that are negotiable because doing business is about having options.

English is my first language, but I attended an Afrikaans school, and after 23 years in the Netherlands, Dutch has also become my native language. I teach English, Dutch and Business management ̶ I don't need nor use translation software.
I use MemoQ for website and product texts containing a lot of repetition. This allows me to create a translation memory for my clients and saves them time.
